Spreading Dwarf 2007
March 2007 Dangerous Curve Los Angeles

this time I used foam board to create the record players (a suggestion given by exceptionally wise and clever New Zealand artist and musician, James McCarthy). This transmits and amplifies the sound far better, but the material is not the most environmentally friendly, which is problematic for me (((I'm curently experimenting with other materials))). A friend recently suggested making an edible record player...hmmm... sounds quite exquisite.

i positioned three mini amps around the space, actively altering them throughout my performance, thus allowing the acoustic properties of the space itself to further shape, transform and layer the sound, creating a thick electric thunder of noise.
